AI consumes energy and water. That's why we host TenderB in European AWS regions running on 100% renewable energy, and why we deliberately choose more efficient models wherever we can.
Generative AI is not without impact. As a platform that analyses and generates thousands of tender documents every day, we share responsibility for that footprint. That's why at TenderB we make deliberate choices (about hosting, model selection and engineering), so you can scale with a clear conscience.
TenderB runs exclusively on AWS regions in Frankfurt and Ireland. Request our Trust Center documentation for the latest energy and emissions figures.

A single query to a large language model costs many times the energy of a regular search query. Training frontier models demands megawatts of power and millions of litres of cooling water. That's a reality we don't sweep under the rug: we actively tackle it.
We design TenderB on the principle that sustainability and performance go hand in hand. That means deliberate choices at three levels: where we host, which models we use, and how efficient our engineering is.
Exclusive hosting in eu-central-1 (Frankfurt) and eu-west-1 (Ireland), regions with a green energy mix.
For every task, we choose the smallest model that can do the job. We don't deploy a frontier model for a CPV lookup.
We reuse repeated analyses and components from the library, so we never run the same computation twice.
Sustainability isn't just about hosting, it's also about how we build our software. Model routing ensures simple tasks run on smaller models. Batch processing bundles requests. Document-hash caching prevents identical documents from being analysed twice. And GPU instances automatically scale down when there are no active requests.
“The most sustainable computation is the one you never have to run.”
Full transparency requires honesty about what we can and can't currently measure. No greenwashing.
For every customer, our dashboard shows the number of API calls, token usage and estimated CO₂ impact based on AWS factors.
We can't yet break down the exact water impact per query at regional level. We're working on this with AWS.
Choose deliberately per project which analyses you run, reuse components, and don't leave old projects open unnecessarily.
